North-Western, Copperbelt and Central Provinces GMAs

Lunga-Lushwishi – 13,340 sq. km
This large GMA covers land in three provinces – North-Western, Copperbelt and Central. It has a network of year round flowing rivers and streams. Miombo woodland, thicket, floodplain, dambos and open wooded grassland.

Species present include African Elephant, Hippopotamus, African Buffalo, Warthog, Eland, Hartebeest, Greater Kudu, Waterbuck, Blue Wildebeest, Roan and Sable Antelope, Puku, Reedbuck, Impala, Oribi, Common, Yellow-Backed and Blue Duikers, Grsybok, Lion, Leopard and Spotted Hyena.

Copperbelt Province
Machiya – Fungulwe 1,530  sq. km
MIombo, munga and termitaria are the main woodlands with patches of grassland, thicket and dambos.

Wildlife is depleted few numbers of Puku, Impala, Hartebeest, Waterbuck , Bushbuck, Oribi, Common Duiker, Warthog and Bushpig.
